Elevated hotel experiences meet Serviced apartments and a rooftop private club, in the heart of Manila, Philippines.

Makati Diamond Residences is conveniently located at the Central Business District, minutes away from Greenbelt Malls, a shopping destination filled with luxury brands, local apparel, treats and souvenirs, and Ayala Avenue – giving guests /residents ease of access to commerce, leisure or dining destinations in Makati City.

Aside from being the new standard of luxury living with its top-of-the-line amenities and health and wellness facilities, Makati Diamond Residences embodies true Filipino Hospitality that is known worldwide with a dedicated team working together to create seamless experiences for the business traveller.

After completing several projects with the client, FBEYE International was tasked with designing the public areas of the project including a private club at the top of the building.

The primary use of the building serves as serviced apartments, however, the client requested for the public areas to be of an elegant world city feel, an elevated hotel experience, both for the food & beverage offerings and the ballroom and meeting spaces.

On entering, the lobby has a triple height ceiling, with white panelled walls, rich timber accents, and a rear floral wall behind reception. A marble clad walkway leads guests to ‘Baked’ the grab-and-go and to Alfred, the new American Cuisine restaurant infused with French and Asian influences. Sumptuous seating, custom chandeliers, and jewel patterned rugs add to the fine dining feel whilst serving local favourites. The restaurant is divided into pockets through curved banquettes, laser-cut gleaming screens and drapery, with a central buffet credenza.

The rooftop club also sports a high ceiling with views over Manila. Guests enter through the wall of wine, travertine clad walls, recycled bamboo flooring, and oversized armchairs mixed with some designer classic chairs. The semicircular bar resides next to smaller private seating areas for intimate meetings. The club also features a dining area for executive floor guests with custom designed wall coverings, a residential style kitchen for buffet offerings and locally commissioned artwork adjourning the walls.

The Legaspi Ballroom runs the entire width of the building, supported by meeting rooms and a board room, catering for up to 700 guests. Botanical themed, its padded walls and crystal chandeliers reflect the local flora whilst retaining the hotel inspired feel.

In addition to the meeting facilities, Kitchen studio allows guests to hold smaller functions with guest chefs in an exhibition type setting.

The scotch and cigar bar is an intimate ‘invitation only’ venue, where deep buttoned armchairs sit in an eclectic mix of tables, lighting and wall finishes.  A variety of artefacts and fine liquor sit together displayed in front of a fabric backdrop of red wine hues.  With seating for just over 14 guests, this is one of the best kept secrets in Manila.

Completing the public areas is the private cinema, rich in colour, with reclining armchairs and a built-in bed like seat running the width of the room filled with cushions and throws to enjoy a movie in style.
