Global cuisine in Goa, India with interiors inspired by traditional Italian values.

Set amongst the lush landscape and white shimmering sands, ‘Sala Da Pranzo’ Taj Exotica Goa’s newest Food & Beverage offering the All Day Dining restaurant, designed by FBEYE International, was inspired by the traditional Italian Kitchens of old. Under the covered Portuguese walkways that form the Entry to Sala Da Pranzo, tranquillity awaits inside, with warm, welcoming underlying tones of shimmering blue and sage green highlights, combined with alluring rustic stone walls, recycled timbers and aged original red brickwork, all reflecting and accentuating the design aesthetics of an Italian Mama’s kitchen.

Eclectic styled furniture with custom designed table tops, spaces divided up with decorative “vintage Portuguese” influenced screens, signage and accessories, complimented by two semi private dining rooms, Sala Da Pranzo features layers of grey stone residing alongside raw timber butchers block, with subtle retail style displays adding to the theatre of the space. Locally produced tiles are used in various ways, some forming the signage scattered around each food station, others forming new contemporary artworks. Buffet and live cooking stations, pizza oven and grille stations form the backdrop to a colourful and action-packed open kitchen, whilst dual access buffet displays float in front housing salads, cold cuts, breads and other delights. The show to the restaurant is a custom designed Bar/Dessert station and Anti Pasta station that is centrally located and accessible from all sides, a key factor in the overall design. A wooden panelled ceiling/canopy cocoons the cocktail bar and desserts below, whilst custom designed lighting, based around vintage decorative lighting fittings found throughout Goa in large traditional private residences, seamlessly combined.

The newly renovated villas at Taj Exotica Goa, designed by FBEYE International, are a radical twist on the original design. Before commencing the design for the newly renovated villas at Taj Exotica Goa, designers FBEYE International researched island-wide, delving into Goa’s past and visiting many of the old historical homes once owned by rich barons of industry, some still housing their families now, many generations forward. Throughout the design process, the aim was to create a modern interpretation of the historic past, highlighting the array of bright colours and capturing the essence of the real Goa. The villas are designed to have a fresh approach to resort living, on entering guests are immediately drawn to how light the villa is, despite its traditional exterior feel. Timber floors flow from the entrance to the sleeping and living area to the gardens and in some villas, the pool at the rear.
