Against Dubai’s iconic skyline, the Aura Skypool exudes a seamless blend of luxury and exclusivity; its ambience further elevated with Kettal’s ubiquitous outdoor collection.
Nestled atop the 50th floor of Palm Tower in Dubai, the chic new Aura Skypool is a beguiling confluence of island living paradise and bright city lights. Its prime highlight: the stunning 360-degree infinity pool – the world’s first – promises breathtaking views of Dubai’s stunning coastline and open waters from every angle. On one side, guests are presented with a magnificent view of the gleaming Burj Al Arab and Burj Khalifa. On the other, visitors can take in the unmatched vistas of the Dubai Marina and Ain Dubai – the largest observation wheel in the world.
Opened in November 2021, Aura Skypool is the brainchild of Sunset Hospitality, designed in collaboration with Kokaistudios. For its interior furnishing, Kettal’s most exclusive pieces were brought in to enliven the spaces.
Envisioned as an “island in the sky”, guests are transported to this urban oasis through the lounge’s exclusive elevators. From here, the entrance features an angular Travertino plaster centrepiece, appearing as a natural boulder to create a strong design statement.
“Aura is seamlessly divided into two distinct yet complementary spaces – a 750-square-metre pool deck with elegant custom-made sunbeds and lounges, and an internal lounge and bar serving a menu inspired by the easy-going vibe of iconic Asian coastlines,” says Sunset Hospitality Group. “A must-visit destination, Aura is the ultimate spot for experiencing an electric atmosphere in the sky.”
Aura’s theme captures indulgence within nature, where colours and designs invoke natural motifs and integrate harmoniously with a variety of materials. As guests make their way across the sprawling two-level lounge, natural accents of rock, wood, and nature-inspired elements keep the sea-meets-sky concept constant.
To bring out its unique interior theme, Kettal pieces by renowned designers with the likes of Patricia Urquiola, Rodolfo Dordoni, and Doshi Levien evoke a casual yet contemporary aesthetic that complements the lounge’s immersive vibe.
Surrounding the central lounge is the pool deck, where luxurious single and double sunbeds from Kettal line the pool edges, offering the perfect place to relax and take in panoramic views. The space also separates within itself, dividing the outdoor area into sections and allowing for different views. Here, an outdoor bar along the pool’s eastern side caters to private parties and special events.
