ToMi Negroni Bar blends Italian Liberty style with contemporary boldness, crafting an immersive bar interior where materiality, art and lighting choreograph a shift from daytime ease to evening drama.

ToMi Negroni Bar is conceived as an artistic homage to Italian culture, tradition and Art Nouveau, reinterpreted through contemporary boldness. Designed by S+S Studio, the interior captures the spirit of Milan’s everyday chic, where elegance feels effortless and playful rebellion emerges through detail. By day, the bar reflects the relaxed rhythm of aperitivo culture; by night, richer colours, dynamic lighting and layered reflections transform the space into a vibrant Negroni destination.

The narrow, elongated layout is visually expanded through a mirrored wall behind the bar, creating depth and a sense of movement despite the limited footprint. At the centre, a green marble bar counter anchors the interior, its polished surface catching light and revealing the stone’s natural depth. A column rising seamlessly into the ceiling is reflected to form a circular composition, establishing a strong visual focal point. Along one wall, a flowing sectional sofa stretches through the space, each segment uniquely shaped and detailed.

Art Nouveau elements are woven organically throughout the interior, balanced by bold graphic inserts and contemporary street-art references. Hand-textured relief plaster walls provide a tactile backdrop for modern Italian motifs, while black-and-white granite mosaic flooring introduces rhythm and geometry underfoot. Decorative objects and artwork are highlighted through targeted illumination, allowing details to emerge gradually.

Lighting evolves with the tempo of the day. Morning light softens textures and reveals material nuance, while evening illumination layers depth, contrast and drama, enhancing the fiery tones associated with Negroni culture. Even the restrooms extend the narrative through contrast, one warm and wood-lined, the other shimmering in gold. ToMi Negroni Bar becomes a place where tradition is distilled through light, texture and colour, creating a memorable atmosphere of Italian chic.
