Sea, Sand and Style all culminate to create the Balinese inspired resort of Westin Nusa Dua.
Nestled on white sandy beaches of the Indian Ocean, Westin Resort Nusa Dua offers guests the perfect retreat, relaxation, and refresh amongst manicured landscaping and some of the best hospitality that Bali has to offer. If work is on your mind, don’t worry, the resort is fully equipped to assist, with the Bali International Convention Centre right next door, also designed by FBEYE International.
Traditional carvings and local textiles are adapted into contemporary settings, with custom rugs, feature chandeliers, and modern furniture designs to revitalize guests and ensure they leave feeling better than when they arrived.
Within the resort are many food and beverage offerings, with FBEYE designing the Seasonal Tastes (All Day Dining), Prego (Italian) Lobby lounge and bar, Velada (Asian) & Hamabe (Japanese), each unique in style and decoration.
Hamabe, the resort’s Japanese Restaurant, encourages guests to experience walking through a Japanese street and indulging in different types of Japanese cuisine, with Teppanyaki, sushi, and traditional robatayaki counters all on offer. An oversized canvas artwork and classic Japanese cooking pots welcome guests. Authentic Japanese menu boards are burned on bamboo stalks bringing character and interpretation of local art and culture. Forming a backdrop to the Teppanyaki counter, a decorative screen is highlighted with inset top and bottom lighting integrated with ornaments. Sleek simple cut slatted oak timber wraps around the cooker hoods, made from the same wood finish of the furniture. The floor is stained oak timber blends into the total colour scheme. While the walls are clad in linen framed with the same timber finish.
The guestrooms and suites adapt Batik fabrics to form a contemporary headboard. On entering the room, a walk-in closet provides a ‘his & hers’ area, with generous luggage facilities and a min bar/retail display, making full use of an otherwise dead end.
Relax in the window bay in the L-shaped sofa, with its botanical upholstery, or sit at the desk niche in the timber hugged chair.
The bathroom hosts 4 fixtures, with the pieste-de-resistance being the free-standing bathtub and shower at the glazing overlooking, in most cases, the ocean.
The Bali International Convention Centre is a world class venue for large global meetings. With 26 meeting rooms, 2 auditoriums, Ballroom for 2,500 guests, café and exhibition hall, the design centres around Batik designs, through carpets, panelling and custom lighting. Locally sourced materials were used throughout the centre, and a new VIP wing was created for Royalty and world leaders.
