Designed by London-based studio Barber Osgerby, TRICOT takes its name from the French word tricoter, meaning “to knit”. This inspiration is immediately evident in the collection’s distinctive woven surfaces, which evoke the texture, depth and visual warmth of knitted fabric. The result is an outdoor seating system that feels unexpectedly soft and welcoming, while maintaining the durability required for life under open skies.
At the heart of the collection is a continuously curved shell that wraps gently around its occupants. Individual modules can be arranged in countless configurations, from intimate sofas and daybeds to expansive L-shaped and U-shaped compositions.
