A long-standing business hotel outpost in the heart of Marina Bay.

The Westin design concept and branding position are quite unique in their signature elements of wellness and finding balance. Inspired by nature our design concept reflects the brand design standards in a modern setting. Streamlined décor featuring materials that are textural interpretations of landscape imagery sets an elegant and stylish tone for the whole hotel. The design for Westin Singapore was aimed at business & leisure travellers to recharge themselves after an eventful day at work or while sightseeing. The guest’s first experience is the dramatic ground floor drop-off lobby with its triple height space infused with subtle (tone on tone) contemporary flower motif appearing to float above the Concierge desk.

The hotel’s main lobby resides on level 32 with breathtaking views of the city, the first of its kind in Singapore, and is destined to set design standards for sky lobbies. The floral interpretation is further detailed and expressed in the custom glass panels in Lift Lobby, inset in the flooring and suspended through the giant glass pendants in the lobby lounge. The Guest again is greeted with a palette of harmonious nature inspired colours. The giant columns gently disappear with a back lit glass/veneer cladding, transforming the space seamlessly from day to night. The reception desks are unconventional in their pod like status, which encourages better guest interaction. The curved white stone of each of the three Reception pods appears seamless with the flooring which is the same material. This element alone took months to carve to achieve the exact radius required.

Spectacular views of Singapore’s cityscape and the Marina Bay area can be seen from the hotel all day dining restaurant, Seasonal tastes, where an International buffet caters to most palettes. Behind the main buffet line in a Moltini kitchen range, so large it had to be brought up by crane whilst the building was under construction, 32 stories high. Seasonal Tastes offers a wide selection of contemporary international and local flavours, with healthy food choices from our Eat Well menu. Tree trunk marble plays a large part in the design, inspired by nature and the colour palate of the Westin blend, it resides alongside natural timbers, composite stone, and glass, and most products are recyclable.

The hood to the buffet line and kitchen range behind is a back lit Japanese style frosted glass with a contemporary metal grille proud of the glass, breaking up what is normally a large expanse of solid surface.

If a cocktail in the hotel’s Lobby Lounge isn’t for you, then Cook and Brew on Level 33 might be your place of choice. While you admire the stunning views of Marina Bay you can partake in the many types of beers at the second longest bar in Singapore, adorned in black marble with decorative grilles and deep plush leather bar stools.

The bar area also hosts an industrial living room vibe, with chesterfield sofas, cowhide armchairs, and exposed services.

Past the bar area sits the dining element of the outlet, rustic tabletops, walls branded with slogans, and sitting next to crate tops. Long leather banquettes in deep rich burgundy, with dining chairs with brass trim details. Running throughout the area is a timber floor, recycled with the original grooves and knots.

The pool deck level sees the Executive lounge, meeting rooms and the pool bar/terrace. During the planning stage, the designers relocated the Executive lounge from the top floor to the pool deck floor to allow it to spill over onto the pool terrace.  Pockets of seating separated by screens and a stunning book matched marble divider create intimate areas for quiet contemplation or small business meetings, in deep plush armchairs.

At Level 3, the guest is gently introduced to the Pre-Function and Ballroom areas. Whilst still encouraging a relaxed feeling, these areas exude a rich environment of dark timber, striking marbles, intricate mirror detailing, and giant contemporary chandeliers. The white multi-faceted archways as you arrive on level 3 are designed to create an anti-space before entering the Pre-Function proper. This open trellis at a lower height is designed to create an even more dramatic entrance to the double height Pre-Function and Ballroom spaces, all inspired by local botanicals.

Experience unrivalled relaxation at Heavenly Spa by Westin. From the calming selection of materials to the restful ambience begins from the entrance, embraced at every opportunity to integrate healthy and sustainable materials into the structure and design of the space. It tells the story of how sustainable materials have been used, how natural resources—such as the flow of natural light and air—have been harnessed, the incorporation of solar-generated energy sources, and the use of upcycled and repurposed items. The treatment rooms feature a customized upcycle vanity from Suar timber with softened corners and a feature basin. The client wanted the interior to feel “holistic, natural, calm and inspiring”.

A single corridor leads to all six treatment rooms, which were also coloured in shades of pale green and creams. The walls were lime-washed in a soft Westin Trademark green.  Pre and post treatments, retreat in the male and female relaxation areas, cocooned in lounges that screens that mimic the feel of a Forest with timber carved screens and hand painted wall covering on the ceiling depicting flora and fauna.

Located on the top floor with stunning views of the harbour and glistening South China Sea, The Westin Singapore’s Presidential Suite boasts an expansive living room with plush sofa and armchairs to relax and socialize in style. For a vibe that’s both worldly and dramatic, luxurious marble floors, contemporary sculptures, and art, furnishings with a variety of unexpected textures and accents adorn the spaces, flowing through to the impressive dining parlour, both spaces filling nearly half the suite. End the day here by enjoying a drink or two from the bar or seated in the living area and taking in views of Singapore cityscape, whilst watching a movie on the suite’s 70-inch flat screen TV.

A grand oversize bed with signature Westin Linen ensures a great night sleep, whilst the deluxe marble tub allows guests to while away the day.
