Merging celestial shimmer with sculpted elegance, Mercury Rooftop rises above Four Seasons Jumeirah as a serene yet expressive haven shaped by fluid forms, reflective metals and Dubai’s vast evening sky.
Presenting the newest chapter in the collaboration between The Sundukovy Sisters and Four Seasons, Mercury Rooftop at Four Seasons Jumeirah rises above Dubai with a fresh celestial presence. Following the restoration of Luna Sky Bar and Penrose Lounge, the studio extends its poetic dialogue with light, form and atmosphere, crafting a rooftop experience shaped by imagination and refined hospitality.
The interior concept draws inspiration from the luminous character of the planet Mercury, blending its celestial glow with the panoramic sweep of Dubai’s skyline. This fusion creates an elevated ambience where earth and sky meet in seamless rhythm. S+S envisioned a space that expresses the energy and personality of Mercury Rooftop while ensuring a timeless allure that will remain captivating long into the future.

Two sculptural bar areas in complementary metallic tones anchor the terrace with a mono-design approach that highlights natural textures and artistic detail. Mercury becomes the symbolic thread woven through the aesthetic, enhancing the visual harmony with a sense of cosmic motion. With Dubai’s expansive horizon surrounding the space, guests remain central to the experience, framed by light, sky and reflective surfaces.
The design narrative channels both the planet Mercury and the element itself. Known for its swift orbit and luminous sheen, Mercury becomes a metaphor for energy and fluidity. The central bar, finished in liquid silver, appears to ripple like molten metal shaped by gravity. Gentle curves, softened reflections and warm tones create an atmosphere that feels alive, graceful and continuously in motion.

While the interior expresses movement, the surrounding façades retain their quiet strength. This contrast between dynamism and stillness enriches the spatial story, encouraging guests to observe how the rooftop shifts through changing light and mood. The balance results in a setting that feels stable yet spirited, serene yet visually expressive.
The primary bar commands attention with its smooth silhouettes and refined contours. Inspired by the softness of liquid metal, it blends naturally into the terrace while reflecting the ambient glow of the surrounding environment. Crafted with innovative casting techniques, its sculptural presence adds a modern voice that complements the elegance of the setting.
Positioned to facilitate natural movement, the bar invites guests to flow freely across the terrace, enhancing the vitality of the rooftop. A golden champagne bar, tucked into a cozy corner, adds a layer of intimacy and indulgence. With sweeping views of Dubai, it offers an elegant retreat where the experience feels both personal and elevated.

The colour palette merges warm and cool tones with effortless balance. Soft lighting creates a gentle radiance that highlights greenery and textured surfaces. Metallic structures shimmer under the ambient glow, echoing the night sky and shaping a dramatic yet inviting ambience. The interplay of light and material creates moments of quiet wonder throughout the terrace.
The central terrace, anchored by the bar, features an array of seating arrangements that complement the overarching narrative. Furniture inspired by the fluidity of mercury carries smooth, flowing shapes that reinforce the sense of movement. Bar chairs upholstered in custom liquid-metal prints add an artistic touch and enhance the visual coherence of the rooftop.
Arabescato Orobico Grigio marble stretches across the flooring in expressive veining that mirrors the project’s theme of organic flow. Tabletops crafted from black Copacabana granite, Supreme Blue quartzite and BACCARAT milk onyx introduce textural richness while maintaining a harmonious connection to the material palette. Each surface contributes to the sensory depth of the design.
Respecting the towers’ original architectural features, the design incorporates immersive artistic elements that elevate the atmosphere. Delicate paper installations sway gently in the sea breeze, casting shifting patterns of light and shadow. One of the towers will feature a 3D projection mapping experience that animates the movement of quicksilver across walls and ceiling, deepening the space into a truly immersive encounter above the city.
